What does "city" inside the classroom mean?

If anything is shown in the area named "city", the player whose friend the student currently is isn't in the city at the time being. You can take off his friend without a conflict.

If the area "city" is empty the player who is friends with the student is present in the city or the student isn't anybodys friend at the moment.
